Meet our Staff

Nicole Gregory


Nicole Gregory joined the team at Mustard Seed in December 2010 as the School Age teacher and Early Childhood Teacher Substitute. In March 2011 she took over the position as Director and continues to lead a spectacular team of motivated teachers. She attended Elgin Community College, Illinois State University, and finished her BA program at Kendall College in Chicago, IL. Most recently, Ms. Nicole took the ‘Basic Life Saving’ Instructor’s Course and has taken up Yoga to teach to the children here at MSCD. Nicole is the Mom of two amazing young women and lives right here in Rossville.

Ms. Terri Bemis

Assistant Director and Head Teacher-Infant Room

Ms. Terri is our Assistant Director and our Head Teacher in the Infant Room. She has been working for Mustard Seed Christian Daycare since April 2007. She completed her Early Childhood Program at Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, IL. She has three children, an adorable grand-daughter, and resides here in Rossville.

Ms. Debbie Cappellano

Teacher Assistant-Infant Room

Ms. Debbie joined us in August 2016 after leaving the healthcare field. She works as an Assistant Teacher with Ms. Terri in the Infant Room. Her gentle nature, unwavering smile, and artistic talent are a valued asset in the Infants Room.

Ms. Danielle George

Assistant Teacher-Infant Room

Ms. Danielle (AKA: the potty training QUEEN) joined us in May of 2017 as an Assistant Teacher in the Twos Room. She now is an Assistant teacher in the Infant room with Ms. Terri & Ms. Debbie while she pursues her degree in Early Childhood Education with a dream of one day becoming a head teacher. Ms. Danielle resides right here in Rossville with her husband and two children.

Ms. Amy Fink

Head Teacher-Preschool 1

Ms. Amy has been with Mustard Seed since October 2009. After receiving her Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood from Danville Area Community College she has gained several years of experience working in childcare. She currently resides in Hoopeston with her husband and three children. Ms. Amy is loved by all her students. She is creative, and is not afraid to get a little messy!

Mr. Juan Guerrero

Assistant Teacher-Toddlers & Twos

Mr. “G” has been a part of our team since March of 2018 and currently spends most of his time in the toddler room. His gentle manner and quick wit make him a great asset in this room. Mr. “G’s” experience mentoring Jr. High/High School students and working with individuals with disabilities allows him to understand how to meet children right where they are. He currently resides in Hoopeston with his family.

Ms. Amanda Lusk

Head Teacher-Toddlers

Ms. Amanda came to us on January 2017 with a degree in sociology and experience working in the Boys and Girls Club program. Her past experience makes her a perfect fit for the school age room because she always has fun activities for her students to partake in. Every time you talk to Ms. Amanda she is always so positive & happy! Ms. Amanda currently resides in Georgetown, IL with her husband and son.

Ms. Kerrie Kuntz

Head Teacher-Twos

Ms. Kerrie has been with us since 2010. She attended Danville Area Community College where she concentrated on Early Childhood Education. Ms. Kerrie’s sweet smile and go with the flow attitude is a great asset for any Early Childhood setting.

Ms. Rylee Glass

Assistant Teacher -Toddlers & Twos

Ms. Rylee joined us in March of 2018 working in the Two’s room with Ms. Kerri & Mr. “G”. She is a Hoopeston Area High School graduate and plans to continue to expand her education in Early Childhood Education. Outside of work Ms. Rylee loves spending time with her dog, family and friends. She is extremely eager to learn and is always looking for new ways to meet our students’ needs. She is a great asset to our team, and we cannot wait to watch her grow as she continues to learn more about Early Childhood Education.

Ms. Amanda Williams

Kitchen Manager

Ms. Amanda joined us in July 2015 with several years of experience providing healthy whole food meals to large groups. She has a kind heart, is organized, and a wonderful cook! She loves hiking and she also is an essential oil fanatic! Ms. Amanda currently resides in Rossville with her son.

Ms. Macie Myler

Lead Teacher-Preschool 2 and School Age

Ms. Macie just recently joined us in July of 2019 after graduating from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s in Family and Consumer Science. She’s a kind person, good listener, and loves working here at Mustard seed. We are very excited to have her as a part of our team!

Ms. Madison Ray

Assistant Teacher-Preschool 2

Ms. Madison joined our team in May 2019. She is currently attending Danville Area Community College pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She enjoys working at Mustard Seed Christian Daycare because of the welcoming environment amongst staff, students and parents. Outside of work she loves playing with her dog and spending time with her friends! Ms. Madison’s outgoing personality is very contagious throughout our center & we are very thankful to have her on our team!.

Ms. Karley Weaver

Substitute Teacher

Ms. Karley just recently joined our team as a Substitute Teacher this past July 2019. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education at Illinois State University. Outside of work, Ms. Karley enjoys spending time with family and shopping. She currently resides in Catlin, IL.

Ms. Loreal Luukkonen

Kitchen Assistant

Ms. Loreal joined us in December of 2018. She has had years of experience of being a nanny for kids of all ages. She has a kind heart, sarcastic demeanor, and is always ready to listen. She loves reading books and sketching. Ms. Loreal and her son currently reside in Rossville.

Ms. Shelby Cushman

Assistant Teacher-Preschool 1

Ms. Shelby joined us in January of 2019. She moved here from West Lebanon, Indiana where she was working as an Assistant Teacher for 1st grade. She loves art and enjoys the creative minds of the kiddos at our center. Ms. Shelby is always willing to take a leadership role to make our students her number one priority.
